Basic structure of signal poles: Road traffic signal poles and sign poles should consist of a vertical pole, connecting flange, shaped arm, installation flange, and embedded steel structure.
The vertical pole or horizontal arm should use straight seam steel pipes or seamless steel pipes; the connection ends of the vertical pole and horizontal arm should use the same type of steel pipe as the horizontal arm, with welded reinforcement plates for protection; the vertical pole and foundation should be connected using a flange plate with embedded bolts, with welded reinforcement plates for protection; the connection method between the horizontal arm and the end of the vertical pole should use a flange plate connection, with welded reinforcement plates for protection.
All welds at the joints of the vertical pole and its main components should meet standard requirements, with surfaces smooth and even, welds flat, smooth, solid and reliable, free from defects such as air holes, slag, false welding, and missed welding.
The vertical pole and its main components should have lightning protection functions. The non-live metal parts of the lighting fixtures form a whole and are connected to the grounding wire through grounding bolts on the shell.
The vertical pole and its main components should be equipped with reliable grounding devices, with grounding resistance ≤ 10 ohms.
