The octagonal pole is made of galvanized steel pipe, mainly using carbon dioxide welding, hot-dip galvanizing, or electrostatic spraying welding. It adopts embedded grounding installation, which is stable and reliable, windproof and rainproof, ensuring the safety of equipment lines.
The cabin door adopts a settling open style, which is simple and convenient for later maintenance and repair construction, making it easy to operate; the optimized cross design can effectively avoid hand and line cutting accidents during construction.
Tiltable lamp octagonal pole: The lower end of the lamp pole is fixed to the base by a flange. The upper part of the lower section of the lamp pole has an axial slot, and the lower part of the upper section of the monitoring lamp pole has a plate-shaped card head that is inserted into the axial slot of the lower section of the lamp pole and fixed with bolts. The upper part of the plate-shaped card disc is fixed to the axial slot of the lower section by a rotating shaft, and there is a reinforcing sleeve on the outer side of the connection between the upper and lower sections.
Elbow typeOctagonal pole: Two steel plates are fixed at the upper end of the ball support shaft, and the steel plate at the lower end of the ball support shaft is connected and fixed to the circumference of the upper lamp pole. Before placing the disc into the upper lamp pole, place the ball at the lower end of the ball support shaft into the inner ball ring of the support seat, insert the support seat from the upper end of the lower lamp base into it, and connect and fix the upper lamp pole, ball support shaft, and bracket.
The octagonal pole is generally suitable for signal lamp poles, sign poles, monitoring poles, etc. However, most lamp poles we usually see are cylindrical. So what advantages does an octagonal pole have compared to a cylindrical one? Let's take it slow.
Generally made from Q235 steel, it can also be used for most lamp poles according to customer requirements, making it sturdy and reliable with good bending properties. Q345 steel can also be selected. The letter Q indicates bending degree but differs fundamentally from Q235. Q345 steel is also known as low-alloy high-strength steel.
The octagonal pole will also be more suitable for various sites, so it can be used for more lamps and many outdoor lighting facilities.
It is generally suitable for traffic intersections and highways. Compared to cylindrical poles' applicability advantages, its advantage lies in higher impact resistance. The applicable lamps are generally taller with longer cross arms and higher load-bearing requirements, such as traffic signal poles, sign poles on highways, and monitoring poles in residential areas.
Cylindrical poles have advantages such as material savings, ease of processing, aesthetic appeal, and strong applicability compared to octagonal poles. However, in terms of load-bearing capacity, sturdiness, and impact resistance, cylindrical poles cannot compare with octagonal poles. This is also why cylindrical poles have never been able to replace octagonal poles.
