Product Description
LED courtyard lights are a type of outdoor lighting fixture, using new LED semiconductors as the light source. They typically refer to outdoor road lighting fixtures under 6 meters in height. The main components consist of: LED light source, fixture, lamp post, flange plate, and foundation embedded parts. Due to their diversity and aesthetic appeal, which beautifies and decorates the environment, they are also known as landscape LED courtyard lights. LEDs are characterized by energy efficiency and high effectiveness, mainly applied in urban slow lanes, narrow lanes, residential communities, tourist attractions, parks, squares, and other public outdoor lighting areas. They can extend outdoor activity time and enhance property safety.
On July 1, 2007, the road lamp design standard 'Urban Road Lighting Design Standard' (CJJ45-2006) formulated by the Ministry of Construction began to be implemented.
In January 2008, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the 'Interim Measures for the Management of Financial Subsidies for the Promotion of Efficient Lighting Products', which will adopt indirect subsidy methods to focus on supporting efficient lighting products to replace existing incandescent lamps and other inefficient lighting equipment.
In April 2009, the Ministry of Science and Technology launched the 'Ten Cities, Ten Thousand Lights' policy, which greatly promoted the development of domestic LED road lamp technology and products. On July 1, 2009, the local standard for LED road lamps drafted by a well-known enterprise in Guangdong Province, 'LED Road Lamp' (DB44), was officially implemented.
With global economic growth, the global road lamp market is expected to show a trend of annual growth. In 2010, the global road lamp market size reached about 160 to 180 million units.
Although the development speed of LED courtyard lights in 2009 was not as fast as expected, it is undoubtedly going to replace traditional courtyard lights. Many LED companies are competing to invest in R&D for LED courtyard lights, with hundreds having launched LED courtyard light products; however, most have not yet achieved mass production. Compared to the enthusiasm of LED courtyard light companies, China's LED courtyard light market had not yet gained momentum in 2009. According to statistics, the market size of LED courtyard lights in China in 2009 was only about 200,000 to 300,000 units. In the coming years, driven by policies such as 'Ten Cities with Ten Thousand Lights' and 'Thousand Miles with One Hundred Thousand Lights', China's LED road lamp market is expected to maintain a rapid development speed. It is estimated that by 2012, the market size will grow from 560 million yuan in 2008 to 3.96 billion yuan, with a compound annual growth rate of 63.0%.
