Components of Solar Street Lights
The solar street light system consists of eight main components: solar panels, solar batteries, solar controllers, main light sources, battery boxes, main lamp heads, lamp poles, and cables. The working principle of the solar street light system is simple; it utilizes the photovoltaic effect to create solar panels that receive solar radiation during the day and convert it into electrical energy. This energy is stored in the batteries through a charge and discharge controller. At night, when the illumination gradually decreases to a set value, the open-circuit voltage of the sunflower solar panel is around 4.5V. The charge and discharge controller automatically detects this voltage value and issues a stop command, causing the battery to start discharging to the lamp head. After 8.5 hours of discharging, the charge and discharge controller issues a stop command, ending the battery discharge.
